▶ 전화 한 통에서 결정되는 것이 셋입니다. 시간, 언어, 가격입니다.▶ One phone call decides three things: the time, the language, and the price.

고 싶은데요는 부탁을 부드럽게 여는 말끝입니다. 앞의 동사만 바꾸면 미용실 밖에서도 그대로 쓰입니다.The ending 고 싶은데요 opens a request gently. Change only the verb in front and it works far beyond a salon.

영어 상담이 가능한 디자이너가 있어도 근무 시간대가 정해져 있는 경우가 있어서, 도착한 뒤에 요청하면 늦습니다. 홍대와 명동, 강남 일대에는 외국인 응대 경험이 많은 매장이 몰려 있습니다.Even when an English-speaking designer works there, their hours may be fixed, so asking after you arrive is too late. Hongdae, Myeongdong, and Gangnam have many salons experienced with international clients.

한국 미용실에는 디자이너 등급제가 있습니다. 경력에 따라 등급이 나뉘고 상위 등급을 지정하면 지정료가 붙습니다. 지정하지 않으면 균일가가 적용되는 매장이 많으므로, 비용을 아끼려면 지정하지 않는 쪽을 택하면 됩니다.Korean salons use a designer grading system. 해 주세요는 부탁하는 틀이고, 지 않게는 원하지 않는 방향을 미리 막는 틀입니다. 만은 범위를 한정하는 조사여서 그 부분 외에는 손대지 말라는 뜻이 됩니다. 세 틀을 붙여 쓰면 문장이 무한히 늘어납니다.해 주세요 makes a request, 지 않게 blocks the direction you do not want, and the particle 만 limits the range so everything else is left alone. Combine the three frames and the sentences multiply.

첫 문장이 가장 강력합니다. 한국 미용실은 사진을 보고 상담하는 문화가 자리를 잡았습니다. 원하는 스타일 사진을 두세 장 저장해 가면 한국어가 서툴러도 대화의 절반이 해결됩니다.The first line is the most powerful. Consulting from photos is an established habit in Korean salons. Save two or three reference photos and half the conversation is handled, however shaky your Korean.

네 번째 문장은 돈을 아낍니다. 한국에는 앞머리만 다듬는 메뉴가 따로 있고 가격이 전체 커트보다 훨씬 쌉니다.The fourth line saves you money. Korea has a separate menu item for trimming bangs alone, priced far below a full cut.

이번에는 반대로 그 자리에서 듣게 되는 말입니다. 알아듣기만 해도 대화가 끊기지 않습니다.Now the other side: what you will hear in that chair. Understanding these alone keeps the conversation going.

▶ 드릴까요가 들리면 나에게 해 주겠다는 뜻입니다.▶ When you hear 드릴까요, it is being offered to you.

드리다는 주다의 높임말이며 직원이 손님에게 무엇을 해 주겠다고 말할 때 씁니다. 해 드릴까요는 물어보는 것이고 도와드릴게요는 이미 하겠다고 정한 것이므로, 뒤쪽이 들리면 대답 대신 일어나면 됩니다.드리다 is the humble form of 주다, used when staff offer to do something for you. 해 드릴까요 asks, while 도와드릴게요 has already decided, so when you hear the latter, just stand up instead of answering.

 

 

3. 자르는 중에 쓰는 문장 3개Three Lines to Use Mid-Cut

 

가위가 움직이기 시작한 뒤에도 말할 수 있습니다. 오히려 가만히 있는 쪽이 위험합니다.You can still speak up after the scissors are moving. Staying silent is the riskier choice.

▶ 숱, 질감, 층은 서로 다른 작업이므로 단어를 바꿔 말하면 결과가 달라집니다.▶ Thinning, texturizing, and layering are different jobs, so swapping the word changes the result.

숱을 친다는 것은 길이는 그대로 두고 안쪽 머리카락의 양을 덜어내는 작업입니다. 질감 처리는 모발 끝의 흐름을 다듬어 가벼워 보이게 만드는 기술이고, 레이어드 컷은 층을 나눠 잘라 형태 자체를 바꾸는 방식입니다.Thinning removes bulk from underneath while keeping the length. Texturizing shapes the flow at the ends to make hair look lighter, and a layered cut changes the shape itself by cutting in layers.

세 번째 문장은 멈춤 신호입니다. 원하는 길이에 닿았다고 느끼는 순간 바로 말하십시오. 이 말을 들으면 그 지점에서 정리에 들어갑니다.The third line is a stop signal. Say it the moment the length is where you want it, and the stylist will move straight into finishing.

되나요는 가능한지 묻는 틀이고, 까지는 그 범위까지 포함해 달라는 조사입니다. 앞의 말만 갈아 끼우면 식당에서도 상점에서도 그대로 쓰입니다.되나요 asks whether something is possible, and the particle 까지 asks for something to be included up to that point. Swap the word in front and both work in restaurants and shops alike.

첫 문장은 굳이 말하지 않아도 되는 경우가 많습니다. 한국에서는 커트 가격에 샴푸와 드라이 스타일링이 대체로 포함되기 때문입니다. 추가 요금인 줄 알고 사양하면 이미 값을 치른 서비스를 놓치는 셈입니다.You often do not need the first line at all. A haircut price usually includes the shampoo and the blow-dry styling, so declining it as an extra charge means missing a service you already paid for.
